OUR GOAL
To provide an A-to-Z e-commerce logistics solution that would complete Amazon fulfillment network in the European Union.
Amazon XBW3 is a state-of-the-art, four-level robotics fulfillment center located in Kemps Creek, NSW. Opened in mid-2025, this 200,000-square-meter facility is designed to house up to 20 million smaller consumer items, such as electronics, books, and toys. While its capacity is massive, its inbound gates are notoriously selective.
Amazon XBW3 at a Glance
For a smooth and compliant inbound process at Amazon XBW3, please review these specific operational details. Note the critical distinction between the facility address and the staging address for certain shipment types.
FC Code: XBW3
Primary Address: 19 Giba Drive, Kemps Creek, NSW 2178, Australia.
Staging Address (XAU1): 5 Darrabarra Ave, Kemps Creek, NSW 2178 (Often required for SPD/non-palletized freight).
Booking System: All deliveries require a confirmed appointment through Carrier Central.
GLN Code: Not publicly disclosed.
Pallet Exchange: No pallet exchange available.
SPD Restriction: As of late 2025, self-delivered small parcels are strictly prohibited. Any SPD not sent via a recognized third-party carrier or Amazon SEND will be rejected.
Deep Sea Imports: Freight arriving via Port Botany must be deconsolidated and palletized to Australian standards before being routed to XBW3 or XAU1.
Notice Period: Appointments must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
Strategic Location
The strategic value of XBW3 lies in its role as a high-density "sortable" engine for the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. By focusing on smaller, high-velocity items, it complements the larger-scale operations at nearby BWU2. This location provides unparalleled access to the Sydney metropolitan area, but it operates as a "closed-loop" robotic system. For European exporters, this means that any friction in the inbound process—such as a non-scannable barcode or a poorly wrapped pallet—can stall the automated induction of 20 million potential units. Successful integration into XBW3 depends on the cargo being "Sydney-ready" before it ever leaves European soil.
Operational Specifications for XBW3
To ensure your inventory is accepted at the XBW3 facility without being marked as RTS, you must adhere to these rigorous standards.
Booking and Hours
Booking System: All deliveries must be scheduled via Amazon Carrier Central (AUS).
Receiving Windows: Standard operations run from 6:00 to 16:30.
XAU1 Staging Protocol: Many sellers report that even if XBW3 is the final destination, Amazon directs SPD shipments to the XAU1 facility at 5 Darrabarra Ave. Delivering to the wrong gate in Kemps Creek will result in a rejected shipment.
Carrier Requirements: Only professional third-party carriers with a valid Appointment ID are permitted. Drivers must wear high-vis gear and safety shoes at all times.
Receiving Model
FC Type: XBW3 is a sortable facility.
Self-Delivery: Prohibited for Small Parcel Delivery (SPD). Only professional third-party carriers are permitted.
Floor Loading: Floor-loaded shipments are strictly unacceptable unless authorized in advance. Unauthorized floor loads may be rejected at the dock at the seller's expense.
- SPD Limit: Small Parcel Deliveries are limited to 15 boxes per shipment. Larger volumes must be palletized.
Vehicle Requirements
- Rear Loading only: The facility is designed for dock-leveler access. Vehicles must be capable of rear-loading to allow PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) entry.
- Clearance: A minimum 30 cm clearance is required between the pallet tops and the vehicle roof.
Cargo Preparation
Box Weight Limits:
Standard Limit: Boxes must not exceed 22.6 kg (50 lb).
Heavy Weight: Boxes between 22.6 kg and 30 kg must contain a "Team Lift" / "Heavy Package" safety label on the top and all four sides (5 labels total).
Program Limit: Items over 30 kg are only accepted through the specialized FBA Heavy and Bulky program.
Box Dimensions:
Standard: Boxes containing multiple items must not exceed 63.5 cm on any side.
Oversize Units: A box may exceed 63.5 cm only if it contains a single oversized unit, up to a maximum of 73.7 cm.
Pallets:
Dimensions: Standard Australian pallet requirements apply; all pallets must be securely stretch-wrapped.
Labeling: Pallets require four labels, one on the top center of each side.
Dunnage: Use only approved materials like air pillows or bubble wrap. Prohibited materials include packing peanuts, shredded paper, and Styrofoam.
If your next challenge is on the Europe side…
Success in the Australian market is often just one part of a broader global strategy. Because FLEX. operates exclusively in Europe, we provide the final compliance filter and logistical infrastructure for sellers navigating the complexities of the EU marketplace. To protect your broader supply chain and ensure your European operations match the precision of your Sydney-bound shipments, consider these checkpoints:
Oceanic Weight Threshold Audit: Australia’s 22.6 kg limit is strictly enforced at XBW3. Auditing these weights through our professional warehouse services in Europe ensures your shipment meets localized safety rules before crossing the globe.
Staging Logic Verification: Navigating the XBW3 vs. XAU1 delivery addresses requires precise documentation. Verifying that your labels and BOLs are synchronized while still in our European hubs prevents costly rerouting fees in Australia.
Global Labeling Synchronization: Whether entering XBW3 or an EU hub, scannable labels are the "key" to the robotic system. Verifying that your FBA labels match your physical cargo before dispatch from Europe minimizes administrative friction.
Fulfillment Network Intelligence: Scaling across continents requires a coordinated blueprint. By utilizing our forwarding to FBA solutions within Europe, you can ensure your inventory is always positioned correctly.
