Operating Window: Multi-shift operation over seven days; specific dock receiving hours for SAMB are not publicly specified and follow the slot confirmed in your Carrier Central appointment (may vary by day, load type and season).
Receiving Hours
Mode: By appointment only (India Standard Time, local time), aligned to your confirmed Carrier Central slot.
Vehicle Requirements
Carrier Profile: Active carrier profile and confirmed Carrier Central appointment are mandatory.
Dock Access: Dock-high, rear unloading at a standard bay (no side unloading or ground-level hand-unload at the dock).
Typical Inbound Equipment:
32–40 ft enclosed rigid trucks and trailers commonly used on the NH-8 / Ahmedabad–Bawlacorridors, loaded to permit pallet-truck or forklift access and safe unloading.
Driver Documentation & Conduct:
Driver must present BOL/manifest and any required Delivery Challan / Stock Transfer Notetogether with the appointment reference.
Driver must follow all on-site safety, PPE and yard-movement rules communicated at the gate or by yard staff.
Cargo Preparation
Pallets:
Standard four-way access wooden pallets of approx. 1200 mm × 1000 mm, in line with Amazon India LTL / truckload delivery guidance.
Pallets must be sound (no broken boards or exposed nails), with cartons kept within the pallet footprint and generally limited to around 1.6–1.66 m total height and up to ~1,000 kg gross weight unless otherwise agreed.
Pallets are non-exchange; plan your packaging and carrier pricing on the basis that pallets remain at the FC.
Box & Pallet Labels:
Each carton requires a unique FBA Box ID label generated in Seller Central India (amazon.in marketplace) for the shipment; remove or fully cover any other scannable barcodes on the outer carton.
Each pallet requires four FBA pallet labels (one per side), applied outside the stretch wrap, fully scannable at ground level and clearly showing the Ship-to FC code SAMB.
Wrapping & Stability:
Clear stretch wrap securing every layer; no overhang beyond the pallet footprint.
Use corner boards, straps or additional wrap for tall, heavy or fragile loads to prevent collapse during transport and unloading.
Clearly mark heavy cartons according to India inbound acceptance guidelines (commonly a threshold around 22.5 kg) so that “heavy” warnings are visible from the sides and top where required.
Floor-Loaded / FCL:
When shipping floor-loaded containers or trailers for rework to SAMB via local partners, follow Amazon’s India fulfilment centre inbound shipment acceptance guidelines on carton weight, stacking patterns and unloadability.
Note “floor-loaded” and any special unload requirements in your Carrier Central appointment; non-compliant floor-loaded cargo may face extended unload times, rework charges or refusal.
Slip Sheets:
Only to be used where explicitly permitted in current Amazon India FBA guidance and pre-agreed in the Carrier Central appointment; otherwise, plan on standard palletised deliveries.
