OUR GOAL
To provide an A-to-Z e-commerce logistics solution that would complete Amazon fulfillment network in the European Union.
HND8 historically served Hachioji, the wider Tokyo metropolitan west corridor, and parts of Kanto with high-volume inbound processing and network replenishment. Our role in describing it is to help you keep shipments appointment-cleanin terms of labels, pallets, and paperwork—especially when dealing with legacy data, old labels, or historic routing plans. Located in the Ishikawa industrial area of Hachioji, near major arterial roads and rail links toward central Tokyo, the site supported dependable parcel flows and scheduled linehauls across eastern Japan.
Important: Amazon announced the end of HND8 operations in 2021. The information below reflects how the site operated while active and is intended for historical and reference use only, not for planning new inbound bookings.
Amazon HND8 at a Glance
FC Code: HND8
Full Address: 2970-3 Ishikawamachi, Hachioji-shi, Tokyo 192-8560, Japan

Deep Sea Imports: Typically yes, when requested at the time of booking and routed via deconsolidated LCL/FCL truck moves from major Japanese seaports and airports (for HND8, historically via Tokyo Bay ports and inland depots). Always confirm the exact process with your forwarder and the currently active FC prior to any appointment.
Slip Sheet Unloading: Not specified (confirm during appointment request)
Strategic Location
HND8 was located in the Ishikawa area of Hachioji City, in western Tokyo. Hachioji is an important logistics and commuter hub linking central Tokyo with the Chuo and Kan-etsu expressway systems and serving surrounding cities in western Kanto. Proximity to regional expressways, freight rail, and dense industrial and residential zones made the site well-placed for both domestic replenishment and import deconsolidations moving inland from Tokyo Bay. Even though the FC has been decommissioned, the address still appears on historic labels and documentation, so understanding its location helps interpret older routing data.
Operational Specifications for HND8
Booking and Hours
Appointments: Required via Carrier Central (while operational)
Operating Window:
Daytime receiving (historical): 08:00–17:00, with last acceptance around 16:00
Night receiving: No regular night receiving listed for HND8
HND8 operated as a non-sortable FC under Rule A appointment handling in Carrier Central. In 2021 Amazon communicated that inbound receiving for HND8 would be phased out and reassigned to other sites; new shipments are no longer booked to this code.
Receiving Hours
By appointment only (local Japan Standard Time – JST, no daylight saving)
During its operational life, HND8 followed the daytime window noted above. Since late 2021, inbound shipments must be routed to alternative FCs designated by Amazon.co.jp.
Vehicle Requirements
Active carrier profile and a confirmed Carrier Central appointment with the correct inbound reference (when HND8 was active)
Dock-high, rear unloading at a standard bay; the site was configured for commercial freight vehicles, not private-car or walk-in seller deliveries
Typical inbound equipment by appointment:
Domestic 2 t / 4 t box trucks for shorter regional runs
Wing-body 10 t trucks for metropolitan trunk routes
Articulated trailers for long-haul and import-deconsolidation lanes
Driver presented BOL/manifest, packing list, and appointment reference at check-in, then followed yard routing and dock assignment instructions
Compliance with yard safety rules: high-visibility clothing and safety footwear where required, adherence to speed limits, use of designated staging and parking areas, safe reversing and chocking practices, and full cooperation with Amazon yard marshals and security
Cargo Preparation
Pallets:
Use Japanese T11 standard pallets (approx. 1,100 mm × 1,100 mm, four-way entry) as the baseline for domestic freight.
Both wooden and plastic T11 pallets are widely used in Japan; many importers choose plastic 1100 × 1100 mm pallets for hygiene, durability, and compatibility with local handling equipment.
Keep pallet weight around 1,000 kg or less and pallet height around ≤1.8 m including the palletunless otherwise agreed, in line with typical Japanese warehouse safety norms.
Box & Pallet Labels:
Each carton requires a unique FBA Box ID label generated in Seller Central (.co.jp).
For partnered small-parcel carriers (such as Yamato, Sagawa, or Japan Post), place the FBA Box ID label and carrier label together on a flat side of the box (not across edges or corners) so both remain fully scannable.
Each pallet requires four FBA pallet labels (one per side), applied outside the stretch wrap, upright and unobstructed, to allow easy scanning from ground level.
Wrapping & Stability:
Use clear stretch wrap with even tension; build stable, cubic loads with no overhang beyond pallet edges.
Anchor the wrap firmly to the pallet base and secure all film tails.
Use corner boards, strapping or bands, and layer pads where needed so pallets stay stable throughout handling at cross-docks, linehaul, and FC receiving.
Floor-Loaded / FCL:
For ocean or air imports delivered as floor-loaded units, follow the current Amazon Japan shipping and routing requirements for carton weight, dimensions, stack height, and safe unloading.
In practice, most inbound freight associated with HND8 was deconsolidated onto pallets before arrival. Any floor- or fluid-loaded solution must comply with current Amazon Japan inbound manuals and be clearly documented in Carrier Central appointment notes for the active FC receiving the goods. Unsafe or non-compliant loads risk delay, rework, or refusal at receiving.
Slip Sheets:
Only where explicitly permitted by Amazon Japan guidance and clearly confirmed in appointment details. In the absence of explicit approval, plan to deliver on compliant pallets rather than slip sheets.
