Strategic Location
DXB4 is located in Dubai Logistics City, part of the Dubai South multimodal logistics platform. DLC sits next to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and is linked by highway corridors to Jebel Ali Port and major routes such as Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road. This position allows freight arriving by sea or air to be devanned, palletised, and shuttled quickly as compliant truckloads into DXB4. The surrounding logistics cluster provides cross-dock, 3PL, and value-added services, supporting predictable Carrier Central appointments and stable dock operations for Amazon.ae inbound flows.
Operational Specifications for DXB4
Booking and Hours
Appointments: Required via Carrier Central for all LTL/FTL/FCL deliveries
Operating Window: DXB4 runs a multi-shift operation; inbound delivery windows follow the exact time slot confirmed in Carrier Central. Detailed public dock hours are not published, so your confirmed appointment is the operational reference.
Receiving Hours
By appointment only (local Gulf Standard Time – UTC+4) according to the Carrier Central slot on your confirmation.
Late or early arrivals outside the defined tolerance may be delayed or turned away depending on yard capacity and DXB4’s discretion.
Vehicle Requirements
Active carrier profile and a confirmed Carrier Central appointment to DXB4
Dock-high, rear unloading at a standard bay; no ground-level tail-lift, curbside, or side-only unloading for FC inbound
Typical inbound equipment:
Enclosed rigid box trucks (3–10 ton) used for local and regional distribution
Semi-trailers / container-equivalent trailers (20 ft or 40 ft) with palletised cargo that can be unloaded by pallet jack or forklift from the rear
Vehicle and trailer expectations:
Floors capable of safely supporting a fully loaded pallet jack
Clean, dry interiors free from loose debris, odours, or infestation
Loads secured to prevent shifting (use blocking, bracing, straps, or load bars as appropriate)
On-site safety expectations:
Obey posted yard speed limits and any one-way circulation pattern; follow yard marshal signals at all times
At the dock, the driver sets the parking brake, allows wheel chocks to be applied, switches off the engine, and remains available for instructions
Driver presents BOL/manifest, FBA shipment ID list, and Carrier Central appointment reference at check-in
Use of mobile phones while driving in the yard is restricted; pedestrians must use marked walkways and crossings
Non-compliant vehicles or unsafe conditions can result in delays, rework, or refusal of the load
Cargo Preparation
Pallets:
Use 1.0 m × 1.2 m, 4-way access wooden pallets in good condition, as required for Amazon UAE FC inbound.
Pallet exchange is not allowed – assume pallets are one-way and will not be returned.
Maximum pallet gross weight: 500 kg including the pallet.
As a practical planning limit, keep pallet height around ≤ 1.7–1.8 m including the pallet, unless your shipment plan specifies otherwise.
Avoid product overhang; any unavoidable overhang should be minimal and must not compromise stability or handling.
Box & Pallet Labels:
Each carton requires a unique FBA Box ID label generated in Seller Central (amazon.ae).
Each pallet requires four FBA pallet labels (one on each side), applied outside the stretch wrap, upright and unobstructed.
Do not cover barcodes with stretch film, tape, straps, corner boards, or any other material that would prevent scanning.
Wrapping & Stability:
Build stable, cubic pallet loads with evenly distributed weight and no loose cartons.
Use clear stretch wrap anchored firmly to the pallet base; fully secure wrap tails so they cannot snag during handling.
Add corner boards, straps or bands, and layer pads as needed so loads remain stable through international transit, devanning, local linehaul, and dock operations at DXB4.
Floor-Loaded / FCL:
For sea containers into Jebel Ali or airfreight into DWC, Amazon normally expects freight to be deconsolidated and palletised before final delivery to DXB4.
Any plan to deliver floor-loaded cargo directly must comply with current Amazon UAE LTL/FTL/FCL requirements and be clearly described in your Carrier Central booking; non-compliant floor loads are at high risk of delay or refusal.
Slip Sheets:
Slip-sheeted loads are not standard for UAE FC inbound. Only use slip sheets where explicitly permitted in current Amazon UAE documentation and confirmed in your appointment notes; otherwise, plan to deliver on compliant wooden pallets.
